One hundred and sixty association executives recently received their Certified Association Executive (CAE) accreditation from the CAE Commission of American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), joining more than 4,300 industry leaders worldwide. The CAE is the highest professional credential in the association industry. Three of those newly accredited professionals are employed at ACI and its subsidiary, Advancing Organizational Excellence (AOE): John Conn, Director, Chapter Activities, American Concrete Institute Danielle Harris, Project Lead, International Marketing, American Concrete Institute Sara Steptoe-Campbell, Manager, Marketing, Post Tensioning Institute (AOE) “ACI and AOE rely on their highly-trained and dedicated staff to best serve their members and customers,” states Lori Purdom, Director, Human Resources, at ACI. “At ACI/AOE, we promote a culture of learning and development. Obtaining and maintaining a CAE credential is just one of many important ways we keep our staff on the leading edge of best practices for association management.” Conn, Harris, and Steptoe-Campbell join four other Certified Association Executives on staff at ACI. John Conn Danielle Harris Sara Steptoe-Campbell To be designated as a Certified Association Executive, an applicant must have a minimum of three years experience with nonprofit organization management, complete a minimum of 100 hours of specialized professional development, pass a stringent examination in association management, and pledge to uphold a code of ethics. The CAE Program serves to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance, and designate those who have acquired and have demonstrated knowledge essential to the practice of association management.
