The American Concrete Institute (ACI) recently sponsored and gave presentations at the Future Concrete Conference hosted by Advanced Construction Technology Services (ACTS) and the ACI Kuwait Chapter in Kuwait City, Kuwait. The annual conference is a leading event for the construction industry and international industry experts who discuss the latest advances and new challenges in the construction industry. Ahmad Mhanna, ACI Middle East Regional Director, presented to an audience of 250 during the conference on the importance of hot weather concreting and ACI 305 document. ACI Past President and ACTS Chairman Khaled Awad also highlighted the importance of ACI Certification and the role it plays in enhancing standards in the concrete industry. The one-day conference featured topics including mass concrete, admixtures in hot weather and the benefits of alternative cementitious materials. Engr.
