The student chapter at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in Alexandria, Egypt, held the third Egypt National Egg Protection Device Competition on November 28, 2019. Thirty-eight teams from 13 engineering colleges participated and reached the final stage of the competition. The winning teams were: First Place Arab Academy for Science and Maritime Transport- Aswan Campus Team Members: Mohamed Abdelaziz Hassan Ahmed , Diaa Eldin Ali Sayed Bakheet ,Ahmed Khalaf Sayed Rashwan , Mahmoud Saber Mahmoud Mohamed , Karam Mohsen Abdelmawgoud Mohamed Second Place Sohag University Team Members: Elmoataz Bellah Elsayed Abdelrauof Salem , Mohammed Alaa Eldeen Abdelhafeez , Ashgan Bahr Mohamed , Hadeer Mahmoud Aboelmajd , Hala Mohamed Bakheit Third place Suez Canal University Team Members: Marawan Mohamed Elameen Abdelrahman , Mostafa Mohammed Mostafa, Mohammed Shaaban Abdelkader Bayoumy , Mohamed Mahmoud Hassan , Ahmed Mohamed Labib Gabr The competition was judged by Prof. Nabil H. Al-Ashkar, ACI AASTMT Student Chapter Faculty Advisor, Prof. Alaa Morsy, head of the construction and building engineering department, and Prof. Nasser Darwish, ACI Egypt Chapter President. The competition was sponsored by the Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport, and the materials were sponsored by Sika Egypt. The winning teams were awarded certificates and received a cash prize from the judges; Amr Ali, Dean of faculty of engineering and technology; and Tareq Mostafa, Vice Dean of faculty of engineering and technology. The AASTMT Student Chapter – ACI has 30 members who meet once every month, supervised by Al-Ashkar, Rawan Edrees Co-Advisor and Amjad Fayed, Student Chapter President. The ACI Egg Protection Device Competition will take place October 25, 2020 during the ACI Concrete Convention in Raleigh, NC, USA. Lear more about ACI Student Competitions.
