The American Concrete Institute – India Chapter successfully conducted its “2020 Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards”, in March, 2020. Entries were evaluated by an independent panel of industry professionals. First-place and runners-up awards were selected in each category: High-Rise Structures, Mid-Rise Structures, Infrastructure, Decorative Concrete, and Repair and Restoration. The event received interesting and innovative entries, spanning a range of construction and structure types. The winners include: The first-place award winners will represent the local chapter at the ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards on October 26, 2020, in Raleigh, North Carolina. “Statue of Belief” Shiva Statue, Udaipur, India Residential Complex “Prestige Song of the South,” Bengaluru, India IT SEZ Park for Wipro, Bengaluru, India Cancer Hospital, Lucknow, India Atomic Power Plant, Kakrapar, Gujarat, India Ferrocement Villas at Wai Village, Maharashtra, India Innovative Decorative Flooring Repair & Strengthening of Cooling Towers, Adani Thermal Power Plant, Mundra, India To showcase the technical challenges and innovations encountered in these projects, ACI India Chapter organised a webinar, where the project engineers delivered presentations to the attending members of the chapter, and other construction professionals. The webinar was attended by nearly 250 participants from all over India, Canada, Mauritius, and Indonesia.
