The American Concrete Institute recently hosted the first ACI Middle East Student Forum in partnership with the ACI UAE Chapter and several student chapters from six different countries. The one-day virtual event brought more than 100 students and professors in the concrete materials and structural design field together to discuss the achievements and challenges in the concrete industry. ACI Past President Khaled Awad was the Honorary Guest and keynote speaker, and ACI Board of Direction member Ishita Manjrekar provided attendees with words of motivation and inspiration. Past and current ACI Middle East & North Africa Fellowship winners Nancy Kachouh and Siham Al Shanti shared their experiences as students and how ACI is helping them advance their careers. Student Chapter leaders were also invited to give presentations on what activities and competitions their chapters are currently focused on developing.
