ACI thrives on the collaborations of those with diverse skills, experience, and perspectives. To this end, the Women in ACI are dedicated to sharing the experience of professional and technical collaboration with emerging faces of concrete. Individuals are encouraged to apply for the Young Professional Free Convention Registration Program to attend the ACI Virtual Concrete Convention, March 28 - April 1, 2021. The program is open to men and women who have been in a concrete or construction-related industry for less than eight years. Years spent as a full-time undergraduate student studying a concrete or construction-related field do not count toward that number. Any years spent studying as a student after achieving an undergraduate degree will count towards the eight-year requirement. The recipient must be able to attend the ACI Virtual Concrete Convention - Spring 2021, and the Women in ACI Networking Event on Monday, March 29, 2021. The deadline to submit applications is February 28, 2021, 11:59 PM EST. Selected candidates will be notified by March 10, 2021, 5:00 PM EST. The Women in ACI will host a virtual networking event and silent auction during the convention. Auction items include decorative concrete art and other products. The money raised from the silent auction go towards funding the Young Professional Free Convention Registration Program. In addition, the ACI Committee, S806 Young Professional Activities will meet on Monday, March 29 from 3:00 – 4:00 PM EST. Young Professionals interested in becoming more involved in the ACI and future conventions are invited to attend. Young Professionals aged 28 years old and under receive a discounted membership rate ($129) for ACI Membership. The rate for ACI Individual Members, age 28 and up, is $259.
