The American Concrete Institute is pleased to reintroduce its popular concrete craftsmen's book, CCS-0 Concrete Fundamentals, as a softcover book with a new lower price. The book is now more affordable for use in teaching, training/development, and as a convenient reference tool.
The book starts with the most basic question of all, “What is concrete?” with later chapters covering materials, construction practices, testing, and more. This easy-to-use book is a valuable starting point for someone in the concrete industry, whether they are an apprentice, a journeyman, a foreman, a material supplier, a finisher, or even a young engineer without field experience.
“CCS-0 is an essential resource for anyone who works with concrete. Within its pages you can find all the basics about concrete as a material and how it is manufactured, placed, finished, and tested,” Bill Palmer, P.E., FACI, Former Editor at Large, Concrete Construction Magazine. “I recommend it to students, craft workers, and even long-time industry members.”
While the book is offered in full color, dual units, and now with new lower pricing, it is easily accessible and ideal as a required course textbook or company on-boarding tool. Available in English and Spanish as a book or downloadable PDF – with pricing as low as $19.
