ACI Awards Travel Stipends for Grad Students to Attend Spring 2022 Convention

Six graduate students will receive travel stipends up to $1,000 USD to attend the ACI Concrete Convention, March 27-31, 2022, in Orlando, FL, USA.

The purpose of the travel stipend program is to offset travel-related expenses such as hotel and airfare for students who are pursuing a full-time graduate or post-doctoral degree. The program is sponsored by the Student and Young Professional Activities Committee (SYPAC).

Below are the recipients of the Spring 2022 Graduate Student Convention Travel Stipend Program:

• Amir Malkooti, Ph.D. Civil Engineering -- Intelligent Infrastrucutre Engineering, Iowa State University, Ames, IA, USA.
• Amr Soliman, Ph.D. Civil Engineering, State University of New York at Buffalo, Buffalo, NY, USA.
• Ehsan Vafaeihosseini, Ph.D. Structural Engineering, The University of Texas at San Antonio, San Antonio, TX, USA.
• Faraj Shahrstan, M.S. Structural Engineering, Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS, Canada.
• Garima Sharma, Graduate Teaching Assistant, Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS, USA.
• Gokul Dev Vasudevan, Ph.D. Infrastructure Materials; Statistics Minor, Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR, USA.
• Poornima Patil, Ph.D. Civil Engineering, Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS, USA.

   

Applications for this program are due on an annual basis on June 1. Graduate students can choose to apply for up to $1,000 USD to cover expenses for a future ACI Concrete Convention.

Registration to the upcoming convention in Orlando, FL, USA is $20 USD for ACI Student Members.
