For the first time in two years, the concrete community reunited at the world’s gathering place for advancing concrete – the ACI Concrete Convention. The convention was held in Orlando, Florida, USA and was attended both in-person and virtually by over 2,300 students, concrete professionals, and industry leaders. The spring convention was the first hybrid ACI Concrete Convention, offering both in-person and online attendance options for registrants. Experts and educators throughout the concrete industry convened on March 27-31 to collaborate on improving the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of concrete projects. The convention provided a forum for networking, education, and an opportunity to provide input on the concrete industry’s codes, specifications, and guides. “The important contributions made by our committee members during the ACI Concrete Convention cannot be overstated”, said Ronald G. Burg, PE, Executive Vice President, American Concrete Institute. “And it was great seeing both new and familiar faces getting involved in advancing the industry.” ACI 2021-2022 President Cary S. Over 50 technical and educational sessions, featuring more than 220 speakers and 100+ hours of industry-leading concrete learning were available to attendees of the spring ACI Concrete Convention. All recorded sessions are available on-demand for registered attendees. The ACI Concrete Convention was supported by its many generous sponsors. The ACI Concrete Convention continues its tradition as the world’s gathering place for advancing concrete. Mark your calendar for the Institute’s next convention – scheduled for October 23-27, 2022, with participation options both online and in-person in Dallas, TX, USA.
