The American Concrete Institute – South Florida Chapter will relaunch later this month with a celebration event September 27th, 2023, from 6 PM - 9 PM to eat, drink and network with the chapter board, ACI Executive Staff, prominent speakers in the industry, and so many more. The event will take place at the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant, 1395 NW 57th Ave, Miami, FL, 33126. ACI President, Tony Nanni, and Executive Vice President, Fred Grubbe, will be in attendance. Admission is free for chapter members, but registration is required. Register Now Through a spearheaded effort with chapter president Guillermo Claure, chapter secretary Vanessa Mela, and the help of ACI staff, John Conn and Denesha Price, the chapter has launched a new website and membership is currently open. The ACI South Florida Chapter was founded as a non-profit organization to further the education of concrete in relation to technical practice, scientific investigation, and research. By organizing the efforts of its members, the chapter correlates, and disseminates information for the improvement of the design, construction, manufacture, use and maintenance of concrete products and structures. “The history of any organization reflects the ideals and activities of individuals or organized groups within it,” said Antonio Nanni, President, American Concrete Institute. “As such, the ACI South Florida Chapter has been relaunched to provide a means of advancing the interests of the American Concrete Institute in South Florida and furthering the chartered objectives for which the Institute is organized.” The chapter takes pride in engaging the concrete industry at large and supports future young professionals from Student Chapters from universities all around South Florida.
