The American Concrete Institute recently participated in the Global Leaders’ Summit and Concrete Talks at the Big 5 Global in Dubai, UAE. Big 5 Global is the largest and most-influential construction industry event in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia (MEASA) with 2,200+ exhibitors and 68,000+ attendees from more than 150 countries. The Global Leaders’ Summit featured a panel discussion with ACI President Dr. Antonio Nanni and other industry leaders focusing on a roadmap to bringing sustainability efforts into action. Concrete Talks included an update on ACI committee work related to 3D concrete printing, plus an overview of a new validation program from NEU: An ACI Center of Excellence for Carbon Neutral Concrete. ACI resources including publications, membership, ceritification, Centers of Excellence, and more were also on display in the exhibition hall. Big 5 Global unites the entire construction industry bringing together contractors, developers, architects, engineers, consultants, disruptors, innovators, suppliers and more, empowering the development of the construction industry.
