Abstract:
Discusses the water-cement ratio from an historical perspective and its relationship to the materials currently used to produce concrete. Proposes a comprehensive research project to study the role of the water-cement ratio in producing durable concrete. The study should encompass both existing time-proven structures in the field and new research focusing on practical aspects of producing durable concrete in the field. 138-691
