Abstract:
In 1910 a test program was undertaken at the University of Wisconsin to obtain information on the effect of age and certain curing conditions on the compressive strength of concrete. Specimens from this investigation were made of different mixtures and made underwater out of doors, or indoors. Tests on specimens after 50 years are compared with earlier compression tests results. Increases in compressive strength after 50 years are noted.
