Abstract:
This article is based on information obtained from an investigation of five commercial water-reducing admixtures used at three dosages: (a) the recom-mended dosage, (b) half the recommended dosage, and (c) double the recommended dosage. The investigation’s purpose was to compare the performance of the various admixtures. It was found that performance depends upon the dosage used, and at higher dosages water-reducing admixtures will perform comparable to superplasticizing agents.
