Abstract:
For decades in North America, the most ubiquitous type of foundation formwork has been cardboard tubes. To overcome its limitations, including size, resistance to water, surface finish, single use, transportation, storage, and lack of sustainability, and to provide an alternative solution, a new formwork system using fiber-reinforced polymers (FRP) has been developed.
