Abstract:
The complex shape of the new Ocean Pavilion of the Seattle Aquarium has very few straight lines or flat surfaces. Turner Construction Company pushed the boundaries of virtual design and construction to achieve the pavilion’s various curving surfaces. The design team’s building information model was imported into SketchUp to design the project’s custom formwork.
