Abstract:
This paper deals with some overall fundamentals of integrated systems viewing them as a total package of hardware and software. Programming languages, terminals, program interface files, method of operation and storage are discussed. The implications of time sharing and the relation of foreground and background processing are reviewed. A summary of some of the main concepts of time sharing, with variation in what is being offered to engineers is also included.
