Abstract:
The use of refractory castables in steelplant applications is expanding continually, and their use has been accelerated by periods of energy and/or fired-refractory-material shortages. . .Projections for the future of refractory concretes in the steel industry suggest a trend toward the use of high-purity and synthetic raw materials and greater interest in composity materials containing metallic fibers.
