Abstract:
A program was undertaken to investigate the influence of various factoirs on the amount of air entrained in concrete mixes with and without air-entraining agent added. The variables so far studied are slump, cement factor, and sand-total aggregate ratio. The results indicate that the two latter factors are of major imprtance but that slump has less effect. In general, entrained air content increaseswith increasing slump, decreases with increasing cement factor, and increases with increaing sand-total aggregate ratio.
