Abstract:
A flow chart, first designed for educational purposes, summarizes the ACI 318-95 code provisions for the slenderness effects in compression members. It can be used to understand the design process prescribed in the 1995 Code provisions and can elucidate the changes in 1995 from the previous editions of the Code. As with most flow charts, it was created for use with computer program development.
