Abstract:
There are many reasons why fly ash is employed in the proportioning of concrete mixtures. Often fly ash is required without full knowledge of its benefit or consequences. The proper use of fly ash can be beneficial to the end product and aid the environment by using a by-product that would otherwise be placed in a landfill. Preliminary investigation of qualities of fly ash may alleviate quality control concerns.
