Abstract:
Voluntary efforts to improve concrete repair practice have not been effective to date. A code has been developed for the repair of existing structures, but the adoption into the IBC/IEBC has not occurred due to opposition from design professionals. Adoption into the IBC/IEBC will substantially improve the performance of repairs by implementing minimum standards as a code requirements.
