The 1994 edition will provide answers needed to detailing questions. The new publication has been divided into three big sections: a standard on details and detailings of concrete reinforcement, a manual of engineering and placing drawings, and a supplementary section containing supporting reference data. The first section contains the current standard Detailing and Detailing of Concrete Reinforcement (ACI 315-92). Unique parts have been developed for the engineer and detailer with a third part containing useful tables and figures. The second section contains the New Manual of Engineering and Placing Drawings for Reinforced Structures (ACI 315R-94). This section provides you with valuable drawings. Included are the latest standard designs developed by the Federal Highway Administration. All drawings conform to the current ACI Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete (ACI 318-89) (Revised 1992) and illustrate recommended methods of presenting the design information needed to make the placing drawings. The third section provides you with supporting reference data. Copies of the New ACI Detailing Manual are now available through the American Concrete Institute.
