This session of the Constructability series will define how structural and architectural precast concrete components can be used to meet constructability objectives. The presentation will provide an overview of precast concrete components and how they can be incorporated as a partial component or as the whole building structure. Design considerations, including roles and responsibilities of the licensed design professional and the precast specialty engineer, and construction considerations, including fabrication in the plant and erection at the site, will be discussed.
